Our annual conference this year will be held at the beautiful Wyndham Hotel near Washington DC's Dulles Airport October 17-19, 2008.
Lodging at the Wingate by Wyndham is available for $69 US per night on October 17 and 18. Be sure to mention IGAS for this discounted rate. For hotel reservations, call 571-203-0999. If you have not reserved your room by September 17, you will be responsible for paying normal hotel rates of $128 per night or more. Discounted hotel rates also are available on October 16 and 19 if you would like to come earlier or stay later.
The nearest airport to the hotel is Dulles Airport, which is about five miles from the hotel. Wingate by Wyndham provides a free shuttle to and from Dulles Airport that runs hourly. You must call the hotel to arrange shuttle service. Reagan National Airport is 30 miles from the hotel, and Baltimore Washington Airport is 60 miles from the hotel. Car rentals are available at the airport at a cost of about $32/day. Complimentary parking is available at the hotel.
Congress registration is $300 for members and $350 for non-members. Payment plans are available, and the amount can be paid with a check or credit card. Call 724-472-9701 to discuss your payment options. Please note that the accompanying schedule is tentative. Speakers and topics may change.
Congress-goers will find much to do in the Washington DC area, including a wide array of restaurants, museums, entertainment venues, and tourist attractions. The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum located at Dulles Airport is open 7 days a week from 10 AM to 5:30 PM and is only 2 miles from the hotel. A free shuttle ride is available to and from the museum.
